Welcome to JobHops. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the JobHops website, resume builder, and related tools (collectively, the “Service”) operated by JobHops (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to create a JobHops account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@jobhops.inif you suspect unauthorized access.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload resume content that is not truthful or that you do not have the right to submit.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service or its AI systems.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any organization.
- Use the Service to generate content that is unlawful, discriminatory, or harmful.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.
3. Your Content and Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of the resume content, work history, and personal information you upload or type into JobHops (“Your Content”). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service on your behalf — for example, sending your text to our AI parsing pipeline so we can render and score your resume.
We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to train third-party AI models. The JobHops software, templates, brand marks, and UI are our intellectual property and may not be copied or resold without permission.
4. Payments and One-Time Passes
Paid JobHops products (such as the One-Time Pass) are purchased upfront and do not auto-renew. Refund eligibility is described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. AI-Generated Suggestions
JobHops uses AI to parse, score, and suggest edits to resumes. AI output is a suggestion, not a guarantee. You are responsible for reviewing every AI-generated line before including it in a resume you send to an employer. We do not guarantee interviews, offers, or specific career outcomes.
6. Service Availability
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We aim for high uptime but do not commit to a specific service-level guarantee for free-tier users.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JobHops and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any direct claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. On deletion, we remove your profile and resumes from our production database within 30 days, subject to reasonable backup retention.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
